LOHAS (The Lab of Occupational Health and Safety)

The Lab of Occupational Health and Safety (LOHAS) is a research laboratory established to investigate employee behaviors related to job performance, employee health, and safety performance such as work stress, job attitude, motivation, turnover/withdrawal, and safety behavior.

Specifically, the core mission of LOHAS is to enhance employee well-being and built a healthy and safe work environment to increase job performance and decrease accidents and injuries.

Through employee surveys, we can identify what factors influence employee health and safety and what types of training can effectively promote these relevant outcomes. For instance, our recent articles found that mentoring can efficiently promote subordinates’ resilience and supervisor safety training can enhance workers’ safety performance.
